Prem Joubonote- is a pure Assamese name and a romantic movie recently released in the USA by none other than the man behind adopting a baby Rhino "Pori"in Guwahati Zoo by Mr.Vavani Sarmah, an Assamese NRI and US citizen.He is again in the news.

The Premier show of Assamese movie “Prem Joubonote” has been organized in Cinema 2 of Northwest Film Forum here in Seattle, Washington, USA today on Sept-13-2008. For the first time, the premier show of an Assamese movie is being organized in USA. Prem Joubonote is being produced by Vavani Sarmah, an Assamese NRI and directed by Loknath Deka of Assam assisted by Vavani Sarmah. The story, scripts and dialog of Prem Joubonote is by Mr Dharmakanta Rajbanshi of Goreswar, Kamprup, Assam. Vavani Sarmah, producer of Prem Joubonote stated in his opening speech that there may be few mistake as it is his first project and says that he is very encouraged and inspired from the support of the Greater Seattle Assamese Community and looking forward make more Indian movie in future. DVD/VCD of Prem Joubonote is available on sale at www.assam.org . Ms Earlene says that she is looking forward to see more Assamese movie in near future.
